In order to improve the community's writing communication skills, we suggest the following tools:
1. Grammar.net’s Grammar Checker -a free standalone application.The application is grammar wise. this one is a standalone application and not a browser plug in, it also has a nice vocabulary feature named "Thesaurus".
After installation you can invoke a grammar/spell check simply by marking the desired text and pressing the "Ctrl+g" key combination on the keyboard, spelling mistakes are underlined in red while grammar errors are underlined in green.
2. Ginger extension for Chrome,which is actually better at guessing the correct words when those are misspelled, it passively checks for mistakes while you are typing within an input field in your browser.
You can use them both, it's always nice to have a second opinion.
