Technion INTERNational "Lesson learned"

During our work on the initial MVP we learned number of key points: 
1. We were exposed to the everyday difficulties that exchange and international students are experiencing  
2. We were presented with a few additions to the site that we didn’t think about before, such as:
- link to a vocabulary site
- link to currency exchange
- more information about the faculties and courses available in English.
3. Due to a recent meeting with International School coordinators we decided to focus more on student life activities rather than technical and official information.
4. We are considering to change the site’s design and turn it into something more young and fresh instead of the strict and formal appearance which is typical for official Technion’s sites.

Technion Intern MVP

Our project is an informative site for the exchange and international students at the Technion.

The problem we are solving is that international and exchange students face difficult procedures to receive information. For this reason, the site is created in cooperation  with the coordinators of the Technion International School.

On the one hand, we provide serious and official information, but on the other hand, the presentation is student-friendly, modern, and interactive.

We make sure that the students are accompanied all the way from the first moments before and during arrival as well as during their stay in Israel.Therefore, our site is divided into three main parts:

1. Before the arrival

2. During the arrival

3. Student life section

The students can also contact, share, ask questions and find other students who make the same journey as they do, through the "Get in contact" section on the website.

First steps: At the beginning, we copied and pasted information from the student guide every international student is given. We added pictures to make it more attractive and asked for feedback via e-mail and guestbook comments.

Next steps: Due to the user’s propositions, we will adjust and add information. Moreover, in a meeting with the coordinators, we will discuss whether to start a facebook group which brings international and local students in contact.

הסרט בודק את הקשר בין ההון לשלטון במדינת ישראל דרך הקשר בין גורמי ממשל ועיתונות לבין משפחת עופר. הסרט בוחן את הדרך שבה מכרה המדינה נכסים למשפחת עופר כמו מפעלי ים המלח, צים ובז"ן. בין היתר נשאלת השאלה מדוע שילמה המדינה למשפחת עופר סכום של 568 מיליון ש"ח תמורת בתי הזיקוק כאשר הם שייכים למדינה. הסרט מציג דוגמאות לכך שאותם פקידי ממשל שביצעו את העסקאות השנויות במחלוקת בשם מדינת ישראל עם משפחת עופר, התמנו לאחר פרישתם מהמגזר הציבורי לעובדים בכירים בקבוצת האחים עופר. הדוגמה הבולטת לכך בה מתמקד הסרט היא מינויו של החשב הכללי לשעבר במשרד האוצר, ניר גלעד, לתפקיד מנכ"ל החברה לישראל‏[4] וזאת לאחר חתימת הסכם זיכיון של המדינה עם האחים עופר, המוכר גם כ"הסכם ניר גלעד", שעורר מחלוקת ציבורית ניכרת וספג גם ביקורת חריפה מצד מבקר המדינה עד כדי כך שחברי כנסת ואחרים ביקשו לפתוח בחקירה דקדקנית של פשר העניין‏ ואפילו לפתוח בחקירה פלילית נגד ניר גלעד.

Tzav ∞ - MVP ( ∞ צו )

Hey all,

Tzav ∞ is a Technion  social community designed for students at the Technion serving in the military reserves  and  for their girlfriends or wives. 

The purpose of this community is to allow social interaction for the large community of military reserve soldiers studying at the Technion. Here, these serving students can catch up on the material they have lost, organize in study groups, upload and share what they have learned from lectures, tutorials and other notes with their community. Our service will allow them to advance together further then they could have on their own.

1. Changing the platform site from Google Sites to Wix in order to improve the graphic environment and add more features.

4. Connect the site to other projects in the course that are relevant.
5. Collaborate with ASAT to endorse spacial benefits for the serving students at the Technion,for example-coffee shop coupons,new deals and so on.
