i assume most of you herd that in this coming Wednesday an employment fair will take place in the Technion.
since we are all in the last stage of our degree :) we all need to look for a good job. the first and most important task we need to complete before beginning the search is to write our CV. the CV is the first thing the potential employer see so it is critical that your CV will market yourself in the best way.

I just wanted to emphasize a few things that I find are important. These tips are from a friend who works at human resources.
ReplyDelete1.write a FEW words when sending your CV's. just a file seems careless and thoughtless.
2.Learn about the organization. They ask if you did & it will show in your confidence level. It also makes you seem more serious about the job and intent to get it.
3. Be honest. It's OK to have weaknesses."I'm a perfectionist" just doesn't go anymore. Being unaware of your flaws reads wrong on emotional intelligence & your ability to work with thers.
4.Focus on YOU in the interview. Don't trash your former workplace, don't talk about the work environment as an excuse. Be responsible.
5. Be direct. Answer to the point. Speak. Don't tell stories.
