How would you get information without speaking the language?

How would you learn the culture?
Our website helps international students at the Technion get this information fast and easy
Today there are several websites available that claim to help international students attain information about the Technion, however it has been our experience that these websites are sub par.
"Technion
International" is a website created (in a previous semester of this
course) in order to help international students adjust to life in Israel and,
specifically, at the Technion. Students
and prospective students can use this website to find information about: things
to take care of before arriving, public transportation in Israel, life in Haifa,
and more. However, it is relatively unknown and the content of the website needs
to be revised.
We have two goals for our
project:
1) We would like to use student input to improve this website, and
2)
we will develop a marketing strategy to ensure that every Technion international
student and prospective international student knows that this website exists
and finds it useful.

I really liked your idea ! If it is not happening yet, I think you can consider using the Technion Campus Radio as a platform for spearding out the word, maybe even open your own exchange student station and there you will be able to host Israeli and non Israeli folks that will discuss diffrenent kinds of activities, you might even want to play your local music there to help you feel at home:-)

It will be a great idea to insert a tab in your Facebook fan page with have your website in it, in that way people can enter your site without getting out from Facebook.

Adding some video tutorials of how to use your site can be very helpful, you can do that using programs like camtasia to record a video showing what to do with you narrating the text, we did that on our site and is very useful (at least we think so haha), here is the link to some examples: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEVUjOkLgI4psMYosqQXiXQ
